"New Board of Trustees Elected"

The PIIE elected the new Board of Trustees during the 25th General Membership Meeting held last June 24, 2005 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The new Board will be serving for the fiscal years 2005 to 2007. As previously agreed, the out-going Board will be meeting with the in-coming Board in a Planning Workshop to be held sometime in July. This will tackle outstanding issues on Membership, Chapter Management and IE Certification. The following are the new Trustees:

1. MR. ELPIDIO L. CARLOTA
   
   • Executive Vice President and General Manager of Ramcar Tire Corporation. He is currently the President of PIIE and the out-going President of the Philippine Rubber Industries Association.
     
2. MR. VICENTE L. CO
   
   • He is presently the Vice President of Manly Plastics and the President of Packaging Institute of the Philippines and current Trustee of PIIE.
     
3. MR. JERRY A. LIM
   
   • He is the Plant Manager of Central Corrugated Box Corporation, and a current Trustee of PIIE. He is pursuing his Master Degree in Economics at the University of Asia and the Pacific.
     
4. MR. MIGUELITO G. REYES
   
   • He is currently the Regional Vice President of Amkor Technology Philippines and Trustee of PIIE.
     
5. MR. WASHINGTON A. ROQUEZA
   
   • He holds the position of Principal of SGV & Company/Ernst & Young and was a current Trustee of PIIE.
     
6. MR. NOE D.T. ENRIQUEZ
   
   • He is an MBA graduate of Ateneo de Manila, and a 1993 BSIE graduate of Adamson University. He is presently the Chairman of the IE Department of Adamson.
     
7. MR. LUIS A. JACINTO
   
   • He is the Head of the IT Control and Compliance Division of Union Bank of the Philippines.
     
8. MR. LUIS POLOTAN
   
   • He is with Nestle Phils. –IE Dept. He was a former PIIE Trustees.
     
9. MS. DEBBIE ANN PUZON NACU
   

   • A Ph.D. IE candidate, Ms. Nacu currently teaches and holds the rank of Assistant Professor in the IE Dept. of De La Salle University.
     
10. MS. KATHLEEN SANTOS-TANKIA
    
    • An MSIE graduate, Ms. Santos-Tankia works with the faulty of the–IE & OR Dept., University of the Philippines , Diliman. and presently holds the rank of Assistant Professor.
      
11. ATTY. NICOLAS M. CARAQUEL
    
    • He was with Industrial Engineering Services, Nestle Cagayan de Oro. After passing the Bar, he transferred to the Legal Department and is currently based in Manila
