1st Mindanao Industrial Engineers General Assembly
& IE Quiz Grand Hotel

July 13, 2002 -- The Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (PIIE) Cagayan de Oro City Chapter marked its birth by holding the 1st Mindanao Industrial Engineers General Assembly and IE Quiz at the Grand Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

The affair was graced by 266 delegates coming from as far as Davao, Pagadian, Iligan, Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro cities, Davao del Norte and Misamis Oriental. It was composed of professional and practicing IEs, Institutional members and student chapters.

PIIE-CdO’s presence in the region is primarily aimed at bringing IE updates, in coordination with the National PIIE, to Mindanao. The 2003 Annual Mindanao IE Conference will be held in Davao City.
