Institute of Industrial Engineers (Davao City Chapter)
was founded in July 2002. It is a non-stock, non-profit,
professional society dedicated to:
- Advancement
of the technical and managerial excellence of industrial
engineers.
- Serving
the needs of industrial and systems engineering professionals
and institutions.
- Provide
a venue where members will have the opportunity to enhance
and strengthen their industrial engineering capabilities
and expertise.
- Provide
venue to crystallize business linkages among members
and colleagues from industry and the academe.

To be the
recognized local chapter organization and the focal point
of all industrial engineering agenda concerning the academe
and the industry.

Chapter shall provide the leadership in developing the
industrial engineering profession, dedicated to advancing
the technical and managerial excellence of Industrial
Engineers.

- To advance
and encourage the art and science of Industrial Engineering.
- To encourage
and assist education and research in Industrial Engineering.
- To promote
and maintain a high professional standard among its
members.
- To promote
the unrestricted dissemination of knowledge and information
by means of meetings and publications in Industrial
Engineering.
- To provide
leadership and guidance to our IE profession.
- To promote
interaction among its members and cooperation with other
engineering/scientific societies and agencies to represent
the Industrial Engineering profession.
- To advance
the general welfare of mankind through the resources
and creative abilities of the Industrial Engineering
profession.
An advice...
"Successful
Industrial Engineers must possess the ability to communicate
effectively, for without it you cannot sell your ideas.
You must be able to manage projects and multiple tasks,
for without those skills you will be less efficient and
of less use to your employer. You must be able to observe
others and understand why they are doing what they do,
for without that, change is an uphill battle."
