PIIE strikes up partnership with Jobstreet.com

PIIE recently formalized agreements with Jobstreet.com, the country's largest Internet Recruitment website, and one of the leading Internet Recruitment websites in the Asia-Pacific. JobStreet.com offers a comprehensive suite of interactive recruitment services. International and local Asian corporations recruit from JobStreet.com, which manages its recruitment process through uniquely developed software applications via the Internet.

The Memorandum of Agreement was signed last July 26, 2002 by PIIE's Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Pidio Carlota, and Candace Alabanza, General Manager of Jobstreet.com. The signing was held during the General Membership Meeting in Dusit Hotel Nikko. Witnesses to the signing included Leah Macatangay of Asia Online, who brokered the deal, Angelica Cortez of Jobstreet.com, and Raymund Soberano, keynote speaker of the GMM.

With the agreement, PIIE members as well as IE visitors to the website can submit their resumes to PIIE. A copy of the resume will be directed to Jobstreet.com website, where the resume will be added to its database. Jobstreet.com will email PIIE members to announce current job postings for Industrial Engineers and will require them to register through PIIE website. It will also provide PIIE with a link to available jobs for Industrial Engineers (updated daily) on the PIIE website and also a list of available jobs (updated monthly) in the PIIE newsletter. These are the most prominent advantages that the agreement holds for PIIE members in particular, and Industrial Engineers, in general, who frequent our website. The landmark agreement holds many possibilities both for PIIE and Jobstreet.com and we look forward to a fruitful partnership.
